The following health care reform bills were introduced this week in the W.Va. House of Delegates.  Each bill was recommended and approved by Select Committee D on Health Care Reform.

HB 2743  --  Authorizing pilot programs for patient-centered medical homes.

HB 2744  --  Providing tax credit for small employers who provide group health insurance to employees.

HB 2745  --  Healthy West Virginia program;  calorie labeling on chain restaurant menus.

HB 2746  --  Increasing excise tax on cigarettes and tobacco products.

HB 2747  --  Health Information Technology (HIT) fee collected on health insurance claims;  proceeds to Health Information Network.

HB 2748  --  Certificate of Need;  changes to current requirements & procedures for CON approval from Health Care Authority.
