Voter Education

As the Voice of Business in West Virginia, the West Virginia Chamber promotes pro-job creation and pro-economic development policies for our state. Leading public education campaigns to explain to the voters why these issues matter is one of the primary goals of the Chamber.

In 2016, the West Virginia Chamber led the fight to make West Virginia the 26th state to pass a Right-to-Work law, and led a positive message campaign during the Primary Elections to ensure fairness and balance in the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

The Chamber also periodically publishes a legislative scorecard to help voters know how their elected officials vote on issues pertaining to job creation and economic development.
